By now, everyone of you must be aware that the cretins of CERT - IN have asked the ISPs in India to block all blogspot and typepad blogs. So that clears up the perceived notion that we are a country of free speech. What can you do? Emails to CERT - IN won't work, as we have heard the head man there say , "Some one must have blocked some sites. What is your problem?"

All you can do now is hope that the few IAS (Indian Administrative Service) bloggers can talk some sense into their colleagues in CERT-IN and have this block removed. Having lived all my 31 years in India, I know that this is the way things work here most of the times. You get the help of somebody who knows somebody in the decision making system and hope things work out.
