Web 2.0

For long I didn't understand Web 2.0. Then I read Kiruba's article in Business Standard. I am convinced now that Web 2.0 is pure alchemy. You create data from non existent sources.

With Web 2.0 type sites, it is possible to combine data from various sources, even sources that you don't own control or even exist, and turn that into data that people can use.

I am enlightened.

Nice observation, as always. But I'm just wondering - how much does he get paid for writing this???

Krishnan - definitely much more than what I get by writing this blog.

Shiva - I would prefer "you" / "your" instead of "u" / "u'r". Thank you.

Do you make money from this blog? How come? I don't see any ads?

Krishnan - that's the point. I make zilch from writing here, so whatever he makes must be more than what I get.

Web 2.0 half the content twice the con. the more things change more they remain the same. Atleast in Web 1.0 there was an attempt to sell products and services of a sort. Now they sell data from "non" existent sources. I cant foe the life of me imagine what a non existent source is. Anyway if only Kribua will come up with our very own madrasi version of Facebook, Samebedbook.in or Samebook.in. Suggestions anyone?

Aren't blogs Web 2.0 ? this whole blog for that matter is from a non-existent source .. right?

Anon - that was a smart one. One problem though, this blog doesn't claim to contain any data, either from existent or non existent sources.
