This Blog in Radio Mirchi

My wife received a call from her friend at 8.30 AM today morning. "Your husband's blog is being featured in Radio Mirchi". Her reaction was "Oh, no. Already he thinks too much of himself, now this will add to his self importance".

Apparently as part of Chennai Month (in case you didn't know Chennai / Madras was founded on Aug 22, 1639), Radio Mirchi has programs that cover the history of Chennai city. It is nothing but trivia thrown in between the songs and today I heard Suchitra telling, "chenthil.blogspot.com has lots of info on Chennai History. An interesting fact from there ....". I had created a separate blog for Chennai Trivia long back. She was reading out question from that blog.

I don't know who pointed them there, nor did they inform me of quoting from my blog. However most of what I learnt about Chennai was from Mr. Muthiah's writings, so let the word spread. I thought it might have been CCG who referred them to my blog. He replied, "Are you crazy? If they had asked me, I would have made them feature MY blog".

Hi Chenthil,
Though I've not written to you, I've enjoyed reading your words and not to forget your translation of Bharathiar's Kavithaigal. Hey! I'm from Tuticorin.

Hmmmm.......
You bitch and moaned about Kiruba cornering the airwaves ; and how he is always in the news., and now this?

Maybe Kiruba referred you to be the new "prince" of blogging;
He has certainly shown himself to be the bigger/better person.

Anon, do read my post carefully. Take a cup of coffee if needed. I bitched and moaned about Kiruba calling himself a top blogger and the media following suit when he is not. The spin you are putting on my words is interesting, but not true.

Chakra, thanks. Will try to revive that series.

Isnt this exactly what Kiruba did? He quotes his rankings and you quote your 'airings'. Whats so different?
