The Hindu bats for CPI(M) - again

Today's editorial in The Hindu was literally asking voters to vote for CPI (M) in the West Bengal Elections. The funny part is hardly any body in WB reads The Hindu.

Sample this

Moreover, not all non-Left votes are anti-Left votes

What logic Mr. Ram, bravo.
The string of successes enjoyed by the Left Front — the permanent government of West Bengal — seems to have caused nothing short of consternation in the Election Commission (EC).

Permanent Government - isn't that the sort of hyperbole associated with Dravidian Politics, Mr. Ram?

Prasanna, of course I read that piece of yours long back and thought I am not alone. I have been bashing The Hindu from the time I started blogging :-)

All newspapers that presume an intellectual high ground generate crap.

Chenthil,
Have you tried writing to the much ballyhooed 'ombudsman'?

Chenthil said...

Karthik, the ombudsman in effect is only a fact checker. He makes it clear in his weekly column, that he will not interfere in editorial views. So it is people like us who have to highlight it.
