If you are tired of Dale Carnegie, Norman Vincent Peale kind of self help books this book by Darrel Bristow-Bovey is what you should read.
It is a spoof on all the self help books written so far. The fun starts in the introduction itseld where the author states that this is the book for those who want to do nothing. He claims that you just have to keep this book in the bookshelf so that the wisdom from it would reach you by the Osmatix process while you are in a reclined state:)
The take away from the book is "Anything can be faked". If you don't know something maintain a mystrious silence, so others think that you know something. He takes potshotsat all the feel good people from Oprah Winfrey to Deepak Chopra and at all latest fads from Feng Shui to Mayan wisdom. This is a book to be read when you are alone so you can have a hearty laugh without inviting curious stares.
Have fun reading it.
The author says dont spend your money in self help books, so I bought this for Rs. 30.00 at a second hand book shop in Kakinada :)
