Vehicle Nos. 7 & 8

Blogging has taken a back seat in the last few months. So much so that putting up a post here almost feels like intruding into some one else's blog. Have added two more vehicles to my fleet. The count now stands at 8.

Did you pick out the color scheme that the trucks are painted? Or is it standardized in some way?

Anon, the front yellow strip is for local state permit vehicles. For National Permit vehicles it will be brown color. The color scheme is standardized by the Transport dept.

I was asking about the whole thing, like the teh very bottom row being one long yellow/green horizontal stripe, stripe, then the row above that being vertical stripes of blue/brown/yellow/brown/blue. then above that is a horizontal white, then above that is a horizontal green. i guess you're saying the yellow above that is Transport dept spec. and then there is the chocolate on the sides with the single white "z" shaped stripe. who comes up with this stuff?

like, if you wanted your vehicle all turquoise with just the single yellow strip, could you do that?

the ashtalakshmi on top of the bus and in signs in the window seem to be a different font.

Congratulations Chenthil.

Anon - the other colors are painter's or driver's choice. Mostly they go with brown and yellow. The Z stripe again is a personal choice. There is no necessity for it to be there.

Fonts are different. Again, driver's choice. I dont interfere in that.

Krishnan - thanks.

Hawkeye - Thanks. We have just got a toe hold, yet to arrive :-)

Govardan - If I remember correctly you wrote an article about Sujata? Thanks for the wishes.

Actually, you asked me the same question, when I commented on you writing about your mother's Dosa Maavu plans.....but still am unable to surely say whether I wrote about Sujatha....But I had met him at Media Dreams, before they officially launched it.......
