There was the Business Head of an insurance company, a unit manager in another insurance company, the ubiquitous Infosys/TCS project manager, a maintenance engineer in a sugar factory, a dozen or so Engineering College lecturers, a petrol bunk owner, a fleet operator - it was the class reunion of the 1996 batch of Mohd. Sathak Engineering College.
Class reunions are as a rule bad for health. As you recycle old college jokes, you check surreptitiously how your one time rival in college is doing. Does he still have a head full of hair? How much does he earn? Am I better off than him? Questions that give you a heartburn for the next few days. You feel happy, jealous, sad - a roller coaster ride it is.
There were some with two kids, there were some who were yet to marry. The classmate whom you hardly ever saw in the class is the only guy to pursue a Ph D, in IIT Madras no less. The Business head felt that the Lecturer must be happier than him. I am sure that the Lecturer would have felt the other way around.
Class reunions are nostalgic, but they are bad for your health.

You've mentioned everything but the one I was looking for. Did you guys have a rollicking time boozing? After all, what purpose does an old-pals-reunion serve without some good old' booze? :)
