Naxalites usurping the role of the State

100s of armed Naxals attack a jail, free their leaders and comrades, kidnap the right wing militia and vanish into the forests. Looks straight out of a 1980s Telugu movie. A prison is one of the symbols of the state and by attacking it the Naxals have sent the message that they are ready for bigger things. The news about a red band from Nepal to AP doesn't sound outlandish any more. What is the reaction of the so called Communists at Delhi? And why is the blogosphere quiet on this?

Nilu, they might have lost the idea debate, but they are going strong on the ground. And I suspect it is because of the communists at Delhi, that they are growing stronger. As an aside, seeing Karat's vociferous support of Iran how many dollars do you think Iranians have given them?
