This funny post started it all about the south indian naming and the difficulties faced by south indian single men. After reading it and laughing aloud, I am reminded of an incident in college.
There was a class mate whose family tradition was to name the first born son as Meyappan. Unfortunately this guy was the first born son of a first born son of a first born son. So when he applied for a passport, the officials thought he was joking. He had to get innumerous government documents including his grandfather's birth certificate to prove that indeed he was Meyappan Meyappan son of Meyappan Meyappan.
